WalletConnect

Pay with WalletConnect on Stash.TF

Link a mobile wallet like Trust Wallet by scanning a QR code — no browser extension required.

What is WalletConnect?

Connect a phone wallet to Stash.TF in your browser.

WalletConnect is an open protocol that links your browser to a wallet app on your phone. On Stash.TF, click the WalletConnect button on the Wallet tab and scan the QR code with a compatible app — Trust Wallet, MetaMask Mobile, and others.

Once connected, checkout works the same as MetaMask: Stash.TF reads your address, you review the order in Verify before you pay, and your phone wallet prompts you to sign and send the payment.

WalletConnect is optional. If the button is not shown, use MetaMask in your browser or choose manual transfer instead.

MetaMask vs WalletConnect on Stash.TF

Pick the connection method that fits your setup.

MetaMask

Browser extension on desktop. Best when you already use MetaMask in Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge.

Sell keys (ETH or USDT payout) Yes — prefill payout address

How to pay with WalletConnect

Scan, verify, approve on your phone.

  1. 1

Open your mobile wallet app (Trust Wallet, MetaMask Mobile, etc.) and make sure it supports WalletConnect.

  2. 2

Start a buy order on Stash.TF, choose Ethereum or USDT, and open the Wallet tab.

  3. 3

Click WalletConnect. A QR code appears — scan it from your wallet app’s WalletConnect or Scan menu.

  4. 4

Approve the connection on your phone. Stash.TF shows your connected address.

  5. 5

Expand Verify before you pay and confirm the amount, deposit address, and trade ID.

  6. 6

Tap Pay with wallet. Your phone shows the EIP-712 order summary, then the payment transaction. Confirm both and keep checkout open until payment is detected.

Wallets we have tested with WalletConnect

Others may work — these are what we check before releases.

Trust Wallet

Mobile app and browser extension. We test ETH and USDT buy and sell flows with Trust Wallet via WalletConnect.

MetaMask Mobile

Use WalletConnect when you prefer MetaMask on your phone instead of the desktop extension.

Any Ethereum wallet that supports WalletConnect v2 should work. If yours does not connect, try MetaMask on desktop or manual transfer.

Tips for WalletConnect

Keep the session alive until payment confirms.

  • Scan the QR code from inside your wallet app, not a generic camera app
  • Keep your phone unlocked and the wallet app open while approving
  • Match the Ethereum network on your trade before confirming on your phone
  • For USDT, keep a little ETH in the same wallet for gas
  • If the QR modal closes, click WalletConnect again to reconnect
  • Disconnect when finished — WalletConnect sessions are temporary

WalletConnect on Stash.TF — FAQ

Why is there no WalletConnect button?
WalletConnect is enabled when Stash.TF has it configured. If you only see MetaMask, use the extension or manual transfer instead.
Is WalletConnect the same as connecting MetaMask?
No. MetaMask uses a browser extension directly. WalletConnect opens a QR code so a separate wallet app on your phone can approve transactions.
Can I use WalletConnect for sell payouts?
Yes. Connect on the sell checkout page to prefill your ETH or USDT payout address from the wallet you linked.
Does WalletConnect work with Litecoin?
No. WalletConnect on Stash.TF is for Ethereum and ERC-20 USDT only. Litecoin trades use manual transfer.
Is my wallet safe when I scan the QR code?
You only approve what Stash.TF requests — a connection, an order signature, and a payment to the deposit address on your trade page. Always compare amounts and addresses in Verify before you pay.
